Lucy Albert

Executive Assistant

Hometown: Richmond, Virginia

Family info: Happily married to Frank for over 20 years.  Three large, smelly sons: Greg, Sam and Ethan.  A houseful of other lesser mammals.

When did you come to Good Shepherd? April 2011

What do you love about your role here? Mothering this fun, unusual, always-interesting church in a way that is uniquely mine!

What schools have you attended since high school? James Madison University, The University of Virginia, Mitchell Community College, Virginia Commonwealth University –B.A., Religious Studies

In addition to the Bible, what books have influenced your thought? How God Became King, by N.T. Wright; The Safest Place on Earth, and Shattered Dreams, by Larry Crabb; Bonhoeffer, by Eric Mataxas; Nudge, by Leonard Sweet; Marketplace Christianity, by Robert Fraser; The Practice of the Presence of God, by Brother Lawrence; Decisive, by Chip and Dan Heath; Good to Great, by Jim Collins; Outliers, by Malcolm Gladwell.

Deserted island, three albums: Darrell Evans’ Freedom, John Michael Talbot’s The Lord’s Supper, Rita Springer’s Effortless.  But I’d rather take the complete works of my favorite three authors (sorry, Frank!)

What do you do for fun?  Have adventures with the fam!  We’ve tent camped from the Florida Keys up into Maine, as far west as the Colorado Rockies, and countless places in between. Hiking, mountain biking (my absolute fav), “yard therapy,” most anything that involves dirt, sweat, and bugs.  This comes in handy when parenting three boys.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Daddy God’s little girl.
