Good times at Sunday Night Live!

“Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant because you are young. Instead be an example to the believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith, and pure life.” – 1 Timothy 4:12

Good Shepherd Youth is a fellowship of students who belong in authentic friendship, belong in our church family, and belong in God.

Here’s how we help students belong…

Weekly Worship

We ask each of our students to get in the habit of joining the broader body of Christ each week for Eucharistic worship. Youth ministry is not peripheral to the church – it is part of the church! We encourage each of our youth to serve on a Sunday morning ministry team.

Sunday Night Live

Students grades 6th – 12th meet every Sunday night at the YMCA in Cornelius from 6-7:30. Each weekly meeting will involve three essentials:

  • Dinner
  • Scripture
  • Good ‘ole fashioned fun!

Can I Ask That?

High school students meet monthly to engage difficult questions about the faith. Click here to find out more.

Camp Booyah

Each summer students gather with other youth from nearby Anglican churches for 5 days at Camp Booyah, an Anglican summer mission-camp adventure. It is always a highlight! Click here to find out more.

Seasonal Fun

Trips to Carowinds, corn mazes, Christmas feasts, fall and spring camp reunions, and more.

When needed, Lead Pastor Kyle Wallace leads a confirmation class for students who have been baptized into the family of God but are ready to receive intentional formation in the Anglican way and make a public profession of faith.

Parents are encouraged to take responsibility for helping their kids form a team of three. A team of three is comprised of three invested adults for each student. It may be as simple as praying for them, showing up at a game now and then, and talking to them after Sunday morning worship. Intergenerational relationships are very important to students’ long-term journey of discipleship.

Staff & Volunteers

Youth ministry is led by our full-time associate pastor, Jordan Kologe. Currently, the youth ministry team includes his wife, Jennie, and three volunteers – Gwen, Josh, and Andrea. We’d love to meet you!
