Rev. David Libbon – Rector of Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Cornelius, NC

The Rev. David Libbon is the rector of Good Shepherd Anglican Church, a growing Anglican parish located in Cornelius, North Carolina. He began serving in this role in March 2025 and brings over 20 years of experience in pastoral ministry, church leadership, and gospel-centered discipleship within the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rev. Libbon experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of 17, which led him to pursue Christian ministry. He earned a degree in Christian Thought from Grove City College, where he focused on theology, biblical studies, and church history and he continued his theological training at the Ridley Institute, a respected Anglican certificate program based in South Carolina.

Before joining Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Rev. Libbon served in youth ministry roles at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Conway, SC, and St. Andrew’s Church in Mount Pleasant. In 2014, he planted St. Andrew’s Park Circle in North Charleston, SC, where he served as lead pastor for ten years, growing a vibrant, gospel-centered Anglican congregation.

At Good Shepherd, Rev. David Libbon is known for his biblical preaching, love for liturgical worship, and commitment to forming Christ-centered community. He describes the church as “an incredibly loving, generous, and joyful congregation” and is passionate about helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Rev. Libbon and his wife Lisa have been married for over 19 years and have two daughters, Abbie and Natalie. The family lives in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Cornelius. In his free time, David enjoys reading, fly fishing, surfing, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers (and for most Pittsburgh sports teams).
