The ladies of Good Shepherd gathered for a sweet getaway on Lake Norman this past weekend. Though we usually head to North Myrtle beach for our annual retreat, this year’s local retreat made it possible for women to either enjoy a full weekend’s respite or jump in on the retreat happenings as their weekend schedules allowed. We dove into Erilynne Barnum’s, an Anglican deacon in our diocese, teaching on Mary, A Surrendered Life and it’s safe to say those who came for all or part felt some mixture of challenged, encouraged, vulnerable, and embraced. The food was great and the conversations were better. We pray that the Lord would seal up that work we did and see its continuation through the Heart2Hearts gatherings in November and December where we will continue the Surrendered Life teachings and discussion.
